WCMP Uses Web-Based Solution to Improve Nonprofit Efficiency and Donor Communication
The World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists (WCMP) announces its partnership with Newdea, an emerging leader in philanthropy solutions for identifying, measuring and communicating the impact of nonprofit programs. With the partnership, Newdea positions WCMP's members to play an influencing role in improving the effectiveness, transparency and accountability of their supported nonprofit organizations.
By providing charities with the platform to enable strategic program management, along with results-based monitoring, evaluation and reporting, Newdea works with WCMP to boost their supported nonprofits' capacity and aptitude for achieving impact. WCMP is implementing the Web-based platform for their donor members and the nonprofits to which they give as a way to enhance the rich Muslim tradition of giving. This will help to bridge the gap between fundamental conventions and modern best practices and technology.
"There's no doubt that it is important for our members to know their charitable dollars are making a difference and resulting in impact -- but the question is, how can you know?" said Tariq H. Cheema, founder of WCMP. "We at WCMP have been searching for a way to directly address this complicated request. We've learned that the issue is not that nonprofits don't want to show donors how their dollars are being used; but rather, the issue is that many nonprofits don't have access to the knowledge or tools to adequately manage and track their work internally."
WCMP donor members will be able to see the return of their "grant investments" in the form of Impact Reports, generated by Newdea's online tool. What's more, the process behind the creation of those reports will serve as a guide for focusing on impact and improving operational efficiencies for their funded nonprofits.
"Newdea's mission, strategy and platform are a perfect fit for WCMP's framework and existing services," said Troy Stremler, founder and CEO of Newdea. "We are eager to offer our solution to WCMP's members as an answer to their call for greater transparency and measurable impact for the organizations to which they give. We're excited by this tremendous partnership and the opportunity to expand Newdea's global reach."
